Billing We will gladly file your charges with your insurance carrier. If payment has not been received within 45 days of filing, you will be notified and asked to contact your insurance company. Billing for Tests Labs and other tests performed outside our office will be billed by the entity performing the test. Medicare Coverage We do accept assignment for and file Medicare for our patients. ABN Waivers Some tests deemed necessary for your care may not be covered by Medicare. If this is the case, you will be informed of the test and the reasons for performing it. You will then be asked to sign an ABN waiver stating the possibility of non-coverage was explained and that you may be billed for the tests. Insurance Plans We accept assignment for most major insurance plans. Please contact your insurance carrier to confirm that Blakeney Family Physicians is a provider.

Novant Medical Group urgent care locations accept almost all workers compensation insurance carriers, and will bill your employer's carrier after treatment of your on-the-job injury.

Some workers compensation insurance carriers provider "designated" physician and hospital networks for the treatment of work-related injuries. Your Employer should let you know if these designated workers compensation networks pertain to you.
