What do I need to bring with me to my appointment?
You should bring your insurance card and a list of current prescriptions and/or over-the-counter medications.
How long does it take to get an appointment?
Calling our office at the first sign of illness helps to ensure that you receive an appointment time sooner rather than later. Normally, we are able to schedule same-day appointments.
What if I have a medical emergency after hours?
For a life-threatening medical situation, dial 911 immediately. For any other urgent medical needs, call our office at 704-384-7085. A triage nurse or the physician on-call will be available.
How do I have my medical records sent to another practice?
To release records to a specialist or another practice, we need your written permission. We have forms in the office available for that purpose. The process of transferring records requires at least two weeks for completion.
When will my lab results be reported?
All lab results are reviewed by the physician as soon as they are available, generally the next day after ordering. Results of lab tests are communicated to you immediately by phone if the test is abnormal or if an immediate adjustment needs to be made to any medication you may be taking. Normal results are reported within one to two weeks.
