UPDATE ON FLU VACCINE
February 5, 2010
Flu clinics are by appointment only. Please be on time for your appointment as we are trying to vaccinate as many children as possible. We DO NOT accept walk in patients for office visits or vaccinations. **Please do not make appointments for one child and bring siblings in as well-we will only vaccinate child who has an appointment-we open appointments according to vaccine supply and this will cause someone who already has an appointment not be able to get their vaccine-we ask for your consideration in this matter. Thank you.** NEW INFORMATION AS OF 2/05/2010: We have FLU MIST available for children over 3 years old and who are not high risk (see below for high risk criteria). We will offer this until 2/22/2010. We have preservative free H1N1 vaccine for children under 3 years old. We will offer this until 2/14/2010. We have H1N1 for any age child available. This does contain preservatives. We will be offering this for the next few months. Please call the office to schedule an appointment for your vaccines. We will no longer have flu clinics at this time and will work you into our daily schedule. Thank you.
There has been a change this year with State flu vaccine: all children aged 6 months to 18 years of age will be eligible for the State flu vaccine. In the past only high risk patients were eligible. **IF ABOVE IT IS STATED THAT THE VACCINE IS A PRIVATE VACCINE YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY WILL BE BILLED OR IF YOU DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT AT THE TIME OF SERVICE.**
