Treadmill stress testing

Used for assessing some types of rhythm abnormalities and for symptom associated with exercise.

For some children with exercise-induced symptoms such as
chest pain, dizziness or a sensation of irregular heart beats, a treadmill stress test can be performed.
When a child undergoes a treadmill stress test, he/she
should dress in clothing appropriate for running. The test typically takes
about 30 minutes and the results are discussed with the family immediately
following the study.
