Check In:

Appointments are scheduled during our regular business hours of 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday by calling 704-291-7111. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment to allow time to copy your insurance cards and update any information in your chart. Please call the office if at any time you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. We request you bring your medications to every appointment.

New Patients:

New patients are asked to arrive thirty minutes prior to the appointment time to fill out registration forms and health questionaires. It is helpful to have your previous medical records sent to the office prior to your visit. We will also ask for your insurance card when you check in and a driver's license/photo identification.

Office Hours:

Our office hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. We are closed on weekends and most major holidays ( New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day).

Confirmation and Cancellation:

If you must cancel your appointment, we respectfully request that a minimum of 24 hours notice be provided.   By doing so, you can be assured of another oppurtunity to make an appointment with our office.  You will receive a reminder call 1-2 days prior to your appointment. Please listen carefully to the information and respond to us if necessary.

After Hours Support:

We provide an answering service after hours for urgent problems. You can reach us by dialing our regular phone number (704-291-7111) and a nurse will take your call. He/she will contact the physician if necessary. We ask that appointments be made during regular business hours for nonemergent problems, routine questions, and prescription refills. Hospital Care - Our patients are admitted to Presbyterian Matthews or Main. Adults that need to hospitalized will be cared for by a physician who is a member of the Presbyterian Inpatient Team. Children will be cared for in the hospital by Dr. Johns or the physician covering for her on that day. After discharge, follow-up will be arranged with your primary provider and all records will be transfered to our office. Although our patients frequently go to Union Regional Medical Center for various tests, we are not affiliated with this hospital and do not admit patients there. If you go to Union Regional and need to be admitted, you will be transfered or assigned to another physician at their discretion.

Holidays:

Southern Piedmont Primary Care is closed on New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Co-Pay:

The patient is responsible for the copay set by their insurance plan at the time service is rendered. This will be collected at the time of check-in before you see your provider.
