Billing and Insurance
Click here to learn more about billing, billing for tests, insurance plans, medicare coverage, and ABN waivers.

Billing:
All billing for Southern Piedmont Primary Care is done through a Central Business Office. Your primary insurance will be filed for you.If payment has not been received within 45 days, the patient will be notified and asked to contact their insurance company. We also offer a Central Business Office Representative on site to help with your questions, billing problems and to help set up payment plans if necessary.

Billing for Tests:
Laboratory testing and other tests performed outside our office will be billed by the entity performing the test.

Insurance Plans:
We accept assignment for most major insurance plans. It is ultimately the patient's responsibility to contact their insurance carrier and confirm that Southern Piedmont Primary Care is a provider. We will be happy to see you as a self pay patient if your plan does not cover us and you still desire to choose us as your primary care provider.

Medicare Coverage:
We do accept assignment for and file Medicare for our patients. However, your deductible is your responsibility and payment is expected at time of service.

ABN Waivers:
Some tests deemed necessary for your care may not be covered by Medicare. If this is the case, you will be informed of the tesst and the reasons for performing it. You will then be asked to sign an ABN waiver stating the possibility of non-coverage was explained and that you may be billed.
