Billing and Insurance
You will find more about billing, insurance plans, and Medicare coverage.

Billing:

We will gladly file your charges with your insurance carrier.  If payment has not been received within 45 days of filing, you will be notified and asked to contact your insurance company.

Medicare Coverage:

We do accept assignment for and file Medicare for our patients.

Insurance Plans:

We accept assignment for most major insurance plans.  Please contact your insurance carrier to confirm that Whitestone Family Medicine is a provider.

Workers' Compensation:

If you are injured on the job or have a job-related illness, you will want to receive treatment with a Presbyterian Healthcare provider.  Presbyterian Healthcare providers accept almost all workers' compensation insurance carriers, and will bill our employer's carrier after treatment of your on-the-job injury.

Some workers' compensation insurance carries provide "designated" physician and hospital networks for the treatment of work-related injuries.  Your employer should let you know if these designated workers' compensation networks pertain to you. Presbyterian Healthcare participates in a few of these networks including:

  • CompCare ( Key Risk Management Services )
  • CorVel (CorCare)
  • First Health (includes Mail Handlers)
  • First Health/CCN

Medicaid:

Most Presbyterian Healthcare providers accept Medicaid and participate in the following designated Medicaid provider networks:

  • South Carolina Medicaid

Medicare:

For people 65+ years old and eligible disabled individuals, Presbyterian Healthcare accepts all Medicare standard and Medicare supplemental insurance policies.  In addition, Presbyterian Healthcare participates in Managed Medicare with:
